The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), a public university that was founded by the government of Pakistan in 1981 to train members of the Pakistani Armed Forces is a multi-school university with its headquarters located in Islamabad, Pakistan. The university is co-educational, established to promote higher scientific education in the country, especially in the field of sciences and technology.

On 12th October a delegation from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan headed by Engineer Muhammad Asghar, Rector of NUST and seven other delegates once again visited AIT to discuss about mutual collaborative activities between AIT and NUST and initiate programs of mutual interests.

NUST showed interest to initiate dual degree programs and one semester programs at post graduate levels; 2 stage undergraduate programs; faculty and student exchange programs; internship opportunities for AIT Undergraduate students; conducting joint research projects and organizing joint international conferences in Pakistan and/or beyond the region.

During their visit to AIT, the delegation team visited various schools, centers and offices in AIT, including School of Engineering and Technology (SET), School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), School of Management (SOM), Center of Nanotechnology and AIT Consulting. During their campus tour the delegation met with various AIT Deans, Professors, Office heads, Directors, NUST scholars at AIT and AIT students from Pakistan.

During their visit to the AIT Consulting Office, the delegation met with Dr. Naveed Anwar, Executive Director, who briefed them about the projects and activities of the organization. The delegation was highly impressed by the activities and is seeking for collaboration between AIT Consulting and NUST Consulting for joint projects in Pakistan and beyond.
