The University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, will have the next International Conference on Structural Engineering, Construction and Management (ICSECM-2011) on 16th-18th December 2011 at Earl’s Regency Kandy, Sri Lanka.  The objective of the conference is to provide a forum for professional structural and construction engineers and researchers to present recent progress in research and development, as well as to report about the implementation of new tools and technologies in practical applications.  In addition to the conference, they are planning to have several pre-conference workshops in March “Structural Design for Dynamic Loading,” in April “CAD” and in May “Water Retaining Structures” with a few more to be added later.
The conference is being organized by the Faculty of Engineering at University of Peradeniya, University of Moratuwa, and University of Ruhuna in Sri Lanka, as well as University of Melbourne in Australia, in association with Institution of Engineers (IESL), Sri Lanka, Disaster Management Center, Sri Lanka, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

 

AIT Consulting will represent AIT as a supporting organization of the event and CEO Dr. Naveed Anwar will deliver a keynote speech.  He will also serve as a member of the organizing committee.
