Dr. Naveed Anwar, CEO of AIT Consuting, travelled to Dhaka, Bangladesh on 16th–18th September 2010 to meet with several clients and partners. During his visit, he met with Design Development Consultants (DDC), to discuss issues related to transport planning and engineering, traffic and hydraulic modeling, and tunneling.
Founded in 1972, DDC is the largest consulting house in Bangladesh. It is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that has been providing services to government, private and international organizations. According to a Sector Review carried out by the Swedish Federation of Architects & Consulting Engineers in 2003, DDC was ranked 86th in size out of the top 200 consultants in the world.
Dr. Naveed also met with Square Pharmaceuticals Inc. to discuss an upcoming plant construction project for which AIT Consulting would provide project management, planning and design review services. Square Pharmaceuticals Inc. has been the largest pharmaceutical company among all national and multinational companies in Bangladesh since 1985. It produces and distributes pharmaceutical products with a sales turnover of SPL of more than Taka 7.5 Billion (US$ 107.91 million), about 16.92% market share (April 2006– March 2007) and a growth rate of about 23.17%.
